Middle School:
MERIT STEM Academy

Scholars in our MERIT Stem Academy receive additional math support, which gives them more individualized opportunities to learn and grow from our selected math instructors. Our scholars have shown to grow more than 50% higher than their non-MERIT peers.

MERIT also collaborated with science teachers to design a health-science curriculum that provided an engaging introduction to health careers. Scholars have the opportunities to dissect sheep hearts, receive computer coding instruction, and complete a series of engineer design challenges.

9th Grade Bootcamp
Bioengineering & Math Internship

Our Bioengineering and Math Internship program gives our students the unique opportunity for 9th grade students spent half of each day at the Baltimore Underground Science Space laboratory and the other half at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. They get advanced math instruction, and have access to a graduate-level scientific working space.
